Treon
Goossen has been involved in the fight for home school freedoms for
over 24 years. She is the co-author of the current Colorado home school statute.
She monitors every legislative session to ensure those freedoms remain
intact. Currently serving as the Colorado State Coordinator for ParentalRights.org, she has also served as a support group leader, as a
past member of HSLDA's Advisory Council, and is active on Congressman
Doug Lamborn's Advisory Board for Teller County.
She is the honored recipient of the Ruth Beechick Award and HSLDA's
Liberty Award. She is married to Dean and the mother of 7 children.
Home School History and Current Trends
This presentation will highlight the history of home schooling in CO and
the battle for home school freedoms. You will wonder at the miraculous
interventions of God for His movement and purposes. This topic will also
cover current trends in home schooling and their impact on home school
freedoms.
The Fight of Our Lifetime
Home schooling is facing its greatest conflict - a battle for its very
existence and the American family as we know it. The Obama
administration states that the United Nations Convention on the Rights
of the Child is a priority to get ratified in the U.S. Senate. The
judicial system is already ruling utilizing Customary International Law
as opposed to U.S. law. These two fronts endanger parental rights as
never before.
Come hear how a treaty impacts America and the ONLY freedoms not
overruled by it are those explicitly written in our Federal
Constitution. Learn what is already being done to preserve our precious
parental rights and how you can help make a difference.
Kevin Swanson is the host of Generations Radio and a homeschool
father of five children. Homeschooled himself in the 1960's and
1970's, Kevin went on to run for US Senate and has since traveled
around the US and world speaking on the family, education, and
biblical worldview. As the Director of Generations with Vision,
Kevin has a passion for faith, family, and freedom in the 21st
Century.
Homeschooling – Capturing the
Vision!
Home Education represents a
“Copernican Revolution” in the area of education. Against the failing
institutionalized systems that have already run their course,
homeschooling presents a new model, based on age-old principles rooted
in one very important book in the Bible. In fact, home educators have
identified the most powerful and effective principles for the education
of a child. As a second generation homeschooler with 40 years of
experience in the movement, Kevin Swanson will lay out the vision in
this visionary, ground-breaking presentation.
A Vision for Sons and Daughters
What is your vision for your sons
and your daughters, in a world where 41% of children are born without
fathers, 64% of children under 6 are latchkey, and 70% of young men are
not grown up by 30 years of age (up from 30% in 1970)? In
this inspiring talk, Kevin Swanson opens up the windows to the vision
God has presented for our sons and daughters – something far better than
the miserable conditions we’ve created for ourselves in the present
day. If we could catch a vision for Mighty Men and Beautiful Women of
God today, how might God bless us in the generations to come?
Why Homeschooling Will Change the
World
Is it saying too much that
homeschooling will change the world? It already has. This presentation
draws from historical trends, real research data, and the Bible, to
demonstrate the power of relationship-based, parent-guided
discipleship. As a radio host and cultural commentator, Kevin Swanson
will present the present situation in its true colors, but inspire GREAT
HOPE for the future of your family, as well as the nation itself. Could
2.4 million homeschoolers make a huge difference on our society by the
year 2050, culturally, academically, and politically? Kevin Swanson
says, “Yes!”
